Experimental study on diamond small saw blade for dry-cut granite

Abstract Three kinds of pre-alloyed powders HF1, HF2 and HF3 were used as the sawing carcass material. Eight different diamond small saw blades were designed to test the dry-cut granite, and the diamond small saw blade was realized in the working layer height range. Dry cut granite from the beginning to the end of life. In this paper, the reasonable range of diamond parameter design in several pre-alloyed carcasses is discussed, and the effect of pre-alloyed powder carcass on dry-cutting saw blades is analyzed. The study found that the iron-based and copper-based prealloyed carcass can produce certain metallurgy to the diamond, which can improve the holding ability of the carcass to the diamond, so that the diamond can normally and effectively engrave the rock during the dry cutting process. The dry and wet cut of the same saw blade showed that the life of the dry cut was significantly higher than that of the wet cut for the small-sized diamond saw blade, which improved the utilization value of the saw blade. Abstract Pre-alloyed powder HF1/HF2 and HF3 were used to make matrix of diamond saw blade. Eight different kinds of matrix formulas were designed for dry cutting experiment of granite. Rational ranges of diamond parameter in some pre-alloyed powder matrixes were discussed and the Effect of pre-alloyed powder matrix on the saw blades for dry cutting was analyzed in the paper. The research results showed that iron and copper pre-alloyed powder can generate metallurgical bonding with diamond grits,thus improve the holding ability to diamonds. The same showed that, the small diameter saw blade was used to do the contrast test under dry and wet conditions. The results showed that, for small diameter diamond saw blade the life is longer in the dry-cutting than wet thus Can improve the value in use obviously.
